A purpose-built platform for monitoring devices, surfacing production-system health, and simplifying day-to-day operations for technical and nontechnical teams.
What needed solving
Church production environments often rely on disconnected tools, and device-specific interfaces. The goal was to create one approachable operating surface that is accessible from anywhere to monitor and control production devices while keeping the system simple enough for non-technical users to understand.
How I designed it
I structured the product around a clear device model and separation between monitoring, alerting, and future control capabilities. The system is designed to work cleanly across production networks while keeping the day-to-day interface calm and understandable.
Designed custom UDP layer to communicate with production devices from web UI to embedded agents living on local networks
Built for automation to reduce the need for manual intervention during live productions
Real-time operational dashboard architecture with SMS and iOS notifications for critical alerts
Multi-tenant SaaS architecture with per-church configuration and device management
Leveraging SQL and non-SQL data stores to support speed and flexibility for time-series and relational data
Where it stands
ProdControl AV is in active development and serves as the foundation for a broader suite of production technology tools. Currently in Beta testing with a local church, the system has already been used to monitor and control devices without having to be physically present.
